Christopher Getz
Christopher knows how to synthesize information, data and observations to uncover economic growth opportunities in downtowns. He has extensive experience analyzing data and conducting firsthand research including face-to-face interviews, focus groups and field observations. Christopher finds meaningful insights that form successful strategies for growth.
Christopher began working with JGSC Group as a researcher in 2008, prior to returning to school to complete his education. He earned a BA in Sociology from Columbia University in the City of New York in 2015; his studies focused on the sociology of information technologies and urban sociology, and he conducted original research on gentrification under the guidance of Sudhir Venkatesh, William B. Ransford Professor of Sociology.
Prior to re-joining JGSC Group, Christopher worked for YouGov, Ipsos, and GWI, leaders in the field of commercial market research and public opinion polling. His clients have included major tech companies, sports properties, and government agencies including the National Football League, Google, Meta, and the US Department of State. He has overseen qualitative and quantitative research projects, built out new teams for expanding business lines, and developed policies and procedures for custom research projects in scale-up tech companies.
More recently, Christopher worked as a consultant for YouGov, offering his experience and insight to inform growth sales strategy for the syndicated business, as well as supporting the Client Services team in ongoing reporting and research for clients across categories, including major retailers, quick service restaurant companies, and media platforms.”
