Mark Lohbauer met with economic development advocate and former Lord Mayor of the City of Belfast, Máirtín ´O Muilleoir to review a program of building re-purposing and retail recruitment measures that have been implemented to revitalize the Ormeau Road business district in Northern Ireland’s capital city. To accommodate heightened demand for housing, the project re-purposed a vacant church and a vacant former police station into apartment units, while the recruitment effort has attracted great new restaurants that fit local income profiles, dramatically expand the variety of local dining choices, and enhance dining quality. Lohbauer dined with ´O Muilleoir at one of those restaurants, “Bia Rebel” (“Bia” is the Irish word for “food” yet also suggests the English meaning “Be a [rebel]).

JGSC will use its trademarked Community Insights® process to conduct a market analysis, including a consumer survey. The Community Insights® process, will form a fact-based foundation for the recommendations and strategies that CCH will recommend to the community.
